Lightel Corporation is committed to environmental sustainability and has established an environmental management system tailored to the characteristics of our industry. This system includes regular monitoring of environmental impacts, energy-saving and carbon reduction initiatives, promotion of resource recycling, strict compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and enhancing employees' environmental awareness. Through these measures, we aim to achieve the dual goals of business growth and environmental responsibility.

We continuously improve resource efficiency—for example, by developing and promoting energy-efficient LED products and implementing waste recycling—to minimize our environmental impact. At the same time, we remain attentive to the potential impacts of climate change on operations and foster an internal culture of sustainability through daily practices such as "Vegetarian Tuesdays," water and energy conservation, paper reuse, and environmental education.
 
【Planting for the Planet: Shell Ginger Sustainability Project】
Lightel Corporation x ESG Volunteering in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu

On May 10, 2025, Lightel held its ESG volunteer activity titled "Planting for the Planet: Shell Ginger Sustainability Project," bringing together 33 employees and family members to participate in volunteer work in the indigenous Naruwan Tribe of Jianshi Township, Hsinchu. A total of 33 Taiwan-native shell ginger plants were planted during this activity.

Framed as a Family Day event, the initiative combined environmental conservation, cultural exploration, and sustainability education. It provided participants and their families an opportunity to give back to the land and engage with local indigenous culture, putting corporate social responsibility into everyday practice.
 

• By participating in the planting of shell ginger—a native carbon-sequestering plant—this initiative is estimated to capture 191.4 kg of carbon annually. It directly supports SDG 15: Life on Land, underscoring our action-oriented commitment to biodiversity and climate change mitigation.
• In addition, the event incorporated local cultural experiences and resource sustainability education, aligning with SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, while supporting tribal economies and promoting social inclusion.
