Through the following concrete actions, we strive to safeguard employee well-being and fulfill our corporate social responsibilities:
Policy Framework and Legal Compliance
Fair and Transparent Grievance Mechanism
Labor-Management Communication and Participation
Workplace Equality and Inclusive Environment
Employee Health and Work-Life Balance
Human Rights in the Supply Chain
Lightel will continue to strengthen its human rights policies and practices based on operational needs and global developments. We are committed to ongoing stakeholder engagement and to building an organization that is resilient, inclusive, and responsible.
Policy Framework and Legal Compliance
- The Company formulates internal policies and procedures based on local labor laws in each operating region, while aligning with the principles of international human rights instruments—such as non-discrimination, protection of the right to work, gender equality, and freedom of association.
- Employees are provided with clear information regarding their legal rights, including working conditions, benefits, and protections under applicable laws.
Fair and Transparent Grievance Mechanism
- A well-defined grievance mechanism is in place to ensure employees can raise concerns through accessible, impartial, and transparent channels.
- All employee complaints are handled through a formal process and responded to in a timely and appropriate manner.
Labor-Management Communication and Participation
- The Company holds regular labor-management meetings to actively listen to employee feedback and facilitate adjustments to working conditions or policies where necessary.
- In addition, semi-annual employee satisfaction surveys are conducted to understand employees’ perceptions of the workplace environment, management practices, and company culture—serving as a basis for continuous improvement.
Workplace Equality and Inclusive Environment
- Subsidiaries have developed the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy and Reasonable Accommodation Policy in accordance with local laws, to foster a workplace free from discrimination and harassment. Reasonable support and accommodations are provided for persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups as needed.
- The recruitment and employment process prohibits any form of differential treatment based on gender, age, marital status, disability, or other protected characteristics, ensuring fair and consistent human resource practices.
Employee Health and Work-Life Balance
- All employees, including hourly staff, are entitled to legally compliant working hours, leave, and sufficient break periods.
- The Company regularly reviews and enhances workplace safety measures to ensure healthy, safe, and supportive working conditions for all.
Human Rights in the Supply Chain
- The Lightel Corporation Supplier Code of Conduct outlines human rights and labor standards that all suppliers and their downstream partners must uphold, including the prohibition of forced labor and child labor, fair working hours and wages, health and safety, non-discrimination, and freedom of association.
- Through these standards, the Company promotes human rights responsibility throughout the supply chain, reduces potential risks, and contributes to a positive social impact.
Lightel will continue to strengthen its human rights policies and practices based on operational needs and global developments. We are committed to ongoing stakeholder engagement and to building an organization that is resilient, inclusive, and responsible.
